I believe there are no accidents and God weaves people together at the right place and time. You just never know when something big is in the works. That was the case oneTuesday last month.
I was walking with my Mom after lunch. We were on Park Ave and passed a woman walking down the sidewalk. My Mom noticed her super cool pants and told her how much she liked them. She said “Oh, I got them at Berri Lynn”. And that was it, the next day I walked into that store for the first time.

I went in and found the pants and was greeted by Berri. I did not have a lot of time but Berri wanted to show me some other pieces she thought I would love (she was so right). I was struck by how kind and passionate she was about the clothes in her store. She legitimately cared about helping women feel good and look great. I instantly felt a connection to her, she reminded me of me!
I love sharing what I am passionate about! I told her right then, “Berri, I think we were supposed to meet and I think I am supposed to interview you for a new brand I am launching.” I was so excited and told her how I had realized there were several women owned shops all around her.
What she told me next changed everything for me.
She said “Tracey, There aren't just a few of us, almost every shop on this Ave is women owned!"
I knew immediately this is where I needed to begin. To find out about these amazing women, what makes their stores so special and spread the word that in one tiny area, amidst such a challenging time in our country, something big and special is going on.
There is real power and energy behind inspiration, you can feel it! I knew meeting these women and sharing their story was the perfect place to start this blog!
